This research studied the inter-relationship between spirituality at work, attitudinal outcomes, job satisfaction, organisational commitment, job involvement, and a behavioural outcome – job performance.

The study purported to establish the mediating role of attitudinal outcomes on the relationship between spirituality at work and behavioural outcome. We employed a survey methodology and standardised instruments to assess the study’s constructs. Employees from information technology, banking, and higher education formed part of the study sample (n=425).

We found a positive and significant association between spirituality at work and attitudinal outcomes; we also found a significant association between spirituality at work and job performance. The serial mediating effect of Job Involvement→Job Satisfaction→Organisational Commitment on the relationship between spirituality at work and job performance was established with the aid of PLS-SEM.
