Summary

This current article explores the design improvement in a Class-Doherty EF Power Amplifier (PA) for Wireless body Area Network application. The cross coupled HCN (CHCN) circuit provide high efficiency and high linearity properties. The Class-EF DPA operation is focused on harmonic termination for efficiency enhancement. Additionally, extend resonance operation.

A CHCN circuit is utilized to enhance the gain up to 19.3 dB on the saturation power region. and improve the resonance band operation. The operation allows the power added efficiency to extend to 76 % and output power to 42 dBm. The harmonic spectrum level was obtained at below −30dBm.
