Summary
Circular economies are emerging as one of the most vital forces for advancing sustainability in the digital age because of their ability to leverage the power of data for different sectors. Governments and consumers alike have been increasingly concerned about the environmental damages caused by the production cycle, which is pushing firms toward a sustainable environment and circular economy.
Businesses operating in the circular economy have significantly boosted the GDP, and there is potential for more evolution in the digital field. E-businesses in the era of digitalization should also focus on the sustainable growth of the circular economy instead of only being bothered by environmental concerns. Sustainability has become one of the top priorities of any country’s current business economy. Working under the framework of circular economy, an electronic business approach is put forward in the current study, which is feature-based on environmental sustainability and has the goal of upgrading sustainable companies’ performance in the context of ESG.
Various indicators have been used to monitor the circular economy process, the reduction of operating costs, and the resource demand through pre-existing studies–the development of sustainable business applications for circular economies, an evaluation of performance, and a model of e-commerce for the circular economy in the digital world.
